Haiku to Edit 1

a groggy hand slaps snooze
the seventh time
7:47am

slapping the snooze
for the seventh time—
Monday rain

7:47am...
a hand reaches
for the snooze

Upside down mug
Bitter coffee
Summer must be over

windows left open
hair stuck to neck
wishing for cool

window left open
her hair sticks
to her neck

open window
hair still plastered
against his neck

evening sun
warmth on brown skin
orange sky

caught in the middle
a Monster’s Inc bottle
filled with liquor

lost to time
behind the nature
little wooden graves

Bubblegum and leather
Sun beats on his face
Sweat from his cap

A droning voice
Speaks the sermon not knowing
Of the older member snoring in the back

bulb flickers
time ticking
until it goes out
