Haiku Matching Contest 2 - Moon Viewing

Spring 2014 • Millikin University

moonlight
our goodbye kiss
illuminated

omnipresent
watching us
in the darkness

moonlit sky
looking into the past
and his eyes

stars in your eyes
October sky
moondance

twinkling stars
stand no chance
against the beaming orb

moonset & sunrise
the shadow of earthly things
comes between us

just bright enough
to see my feet
tarnished silver moon

velvet skies—
our skin paler
in the moonlight

BOTTOM half champion

craters on the moon
I ponder
my past mistakes

light of the moon
imperfections
turned perfect

the blue moon
always around
to talk to

insomnia
the old soldier sings
to the crescent moon

reach for the moon
graduation seems just
as far away

bitter tea
against my lips
moon rising

           (ped)
      cup         in hand
        (ing)
moon       in soul
[move me like you move the seas]

early morning
blood flows
across the moon
