coming home |
I pull into the driveway |
family gathered around |
first thought as I go home |
the smell of grass |
sliced in half by the river |
night falls on the trail |
corn on either side |
driver's seat |
fresh noodles |
I turn the corner |
emerging from quiet |
crumpled cans |
meeting old friends |
back home |
hiding in the attic |
front door opens |
orange sun sets |
hugging my father |
car packed, ready to go |
aggressively battling |
warm fall day |
it doesn't feel right |
flowers |
opening my eyes |
three bicycles |
home for a weekend |
mother and daughter |
after the slumber party |
Mother gone |
1:00 in the morning |
garden walk |
coming home late |
mediocre craftsmanship |
marriage proposal |
looking through |
playing hooky |
careful aim |
sitting in jail |
walking through campus |
a tiny sprout |
a rattling blue van
|
homecoming weekend |
blue balloons |
the whistle blows |
sitting on the sidewalk |
deserted campus |
football game |
painting for the parade |
sitting on the smooth bench |
a bowl of salsa |
my favorite chinese take-out |
morning coffee |
Grandma's sloppy joes |
oatmeal for breakfast |
the smell of coffee |
he sprinkles the cheese |
light peers through the door |
dancing in the wind |
little buns lined up |
stormy skies |
lunch date with friends |
she touches her necklace |
sun sets behind the mountains |
microbiology lab |
leaving my phone |
sitting on the metal stairs |
three little fingers |
unopened jar hides quietly |
an hour left |
a salad for lunch |
ninety degrees |
outside alone at last |
Saturday mornings |
train horn |
large oak |
overgrown branches |
the gentle breeze |
breezy fall night |
meadow of smooth rocks |
the mom sobbing |
pockets full of posies |
leaves crunching |
slow song |
spoken words |
didn't get the job |
cute boy in class |
