harvest moon
monarchs come to rest
on the old pine tree

moon
how can I shine
like you?

midnight drive
the moon observes
my darkness

I string the stars
on a copper chain
for you      my love

a moon and a half
not enough
to light the way

at night I find
peace in your arms
waning moon

mother moon
always listening
never sharing

Saturn's rings
you wrap around me
with arms of stardust

waxing crescent
where is the guy
with the fishing pole?

a woman on the moon
twenty years ago a dream
soon to be a reality

moonlight moonshine mooning

light filtering through the leaves
in the midnight woods
worn .22 sitting in my lap

head out the window
she smiles at the stars.
they smile back

moon, your cold body
somehow warms
my heart

wishing on airplanes
            the stars
have already fallen

late night longing . . .
do aliens look at the sky
and think of me, too?

in the moonlight
a bug
. . . or a fairy?

flashlight
the cratered moon
protects my walk

silent moon
you answer all
my questions

skin illuminated
by the moonlight
she wonders

looking down
the barrel of the rifle
she glows

champagne supernova
the chord progression
reminds me of you

lunar eclipse
our hearts beat
as one

quasars and nebulas
dance across the night stage
an audience of trillions

gazing at Orion
you have ensnared
my heart

waxing gibbous
I meet someone
new

lit by the moon
crickets enjoy
the early night

ball of cheese
couple million miles away
perhaps its gouda

night mistress
tell me of my
mistakes

light disintegrates
the moon clouds
our love

celestial body
you show me
mine.

crescent moon in the dark night sky
rarely seeing
the full picture

autumn breeze
her hair dances
as the moon appears

a challenge to the sun
even during the day
you shine

you are the earth and
I am the moon:
caught up in a gravitational pull

the hunter’s moon
finding my way
in pale light

growing up—
I realize a shooting star
is actually a falling rock

yellow moon
our favorite
third wheel

I shoot for the moon
will you catch me
if I fall?

harvest moon
I dance with
the wind

strawberry moon
we float our kayaks
near the nest

blue moon
she mirrors my emotions
on the drive home

lost in thought
the constellations
find me

to walk among stars
we look down
on the world

cool gentle waters
a frog leaps into
the body of stars

I miss you
once full
now crescent

lunar craters
I said
I’m fine

crescent moon
her almost, not quite
light      touch

his
      little
            finger
                  tracing   the

                  constellations

exploding stars
under my skin
I am a
         supernova

little silver moon
sits on my collarbone
a chain that links
