1

airplane mode
some silence
for once

2

always there
in my time of need
Taco Bell

3

social media binge
apples
made of plastic

4

muscles sore
they heard us laughing
all night

5

best friend’s rooftop
our laughter
absorbed by the stars

he pretends it means nothing

the sunrise

23

a drop of rain
mourning the summer

25

the ground gives way
underfoot

26

moss-covered rocks
my foot
slips

27

a cocoon
I snuggle
deeper

the touchdowns
a memory

I dial in
to the crickets

another bite for
the hungry caterpillar

32

for wild things
like me

my love stays
on the dusty shelves
of used bookstores

bike rack
empty

44

left a little brother
winter break
with big brother

45

the calm before
the storm

46

two friends watch
as butterflies dance
the wildflowers

47

driving on the main road
light comes on
call dad

48

doesn't want to play today
