throwing away his remains
finally, our pumpkin is complete

tightly
against the autumn breeze

of crisp apples
tis the season

between the smoke
can we be young forever?

a smile of sweetness

keeps me warm

blows away
with the wind

43

blankets the road
achoo

44

firepit crackles
as my marshmallow
ignites

45

mingles with my breath
as I speak
