1

athletic meet
lunch box made by mother
makes me happy

2

a group of runners
honking cars
slender middle fingers

3

posting a message
hoping to interact
with more than a ghost

4

mirror's reflection
overworked eyes
find my gaze

5

a bee in a garden
on the ripe tomato
nice fragrance

6

lots of variety
illuminated by the sun
a morning glory

7

time running out
light falls
night rises

8

warmth fades
with the colors
as they fall

9

kayaks pause
in the middle of the lake
strawberry moon

10

I say all the right things
no matter
you have made your decision

11

written words
traced along her spine
she sits in the shower

12

the rain pours
harder on the windowsill
I begin writing my last letter

13

a single firefly
I watch
as the light slowly dims

14

lovely views
spacious mountains
endless paths to take

15

band of brothers
switching houses and lives
week by week

16

summer heat
a dirt trail
two bike tracks line the sides

17

painted artwork
under the bridge
belongs to no one

18

an empty playground
trees loom over
the forgotten park

19

cherry blossoms
the bloom
of a new term

20

crying and laughing
the weather changes all the time
summer sky

21

cicada chirping
quiets down
end of summer

22

clutching my father’s arm
heart pounding
I face him at the alter

23

stones turn to sand
peace still out of reach
stretch a bit further

24

standing at the platform
salty, wet cheeks
one last kiss for awhile

25

cousins floating
side by side
tree poses

26

leaves falling
feet stomping
wet hard asphalt

27

afloat
on the boogie board
I am always with you
