Selected Haiku
by

Kathy Cuttill

I have chosen these haiku as my personal best. These haiku are more personal to me. I believe these show enough description to let the reader in on what I was thinking, but there is enough unsaid so the reader can put his or her own memories or feelings in to each one. I think I have used a nature and a seasonal element in some.

I have just used my own personal experiences as the inspiration. I am not sure how good these really, are but I did have fun writing them.

windy spring day
old glory waving—
goodbye my hero

a lazy summer day by the pond
ice cold beer
skinny dipping

200 more miles to go
the moon shining brightly
following us home

stargazer lilies
we gaze at the stars
and plan our future together

keys
blending in the tall green grass
late again

Miles and Miles

Miles of scenic highway
Fluffy white pillows
In a background of blue

Day dreaming of the
Adventures that await you
Warm sun beaming down

Hair flowing in the breeze
Freedom
No care in the world

Destination unknown
Miles and miles traveled
Evening sets in

Stars twinkle in the sky
You -----
Have arrived !
