sore knees and back
new toys for her grandson

shoes by the door
tugs on your shirt
butterfly kisses
everyone snuggled in bed
|
dark
woods at night
only a sack to hold
grandpa smiles
as he goes to chase snipes
|
|

children
all nestled in bed
candles burn on
mom's work is never done
|
night's
sweet silence
broken by a child’s cry
old rocking chair creaks
|
|

hot
summer sun
muscles start to get weak
no summit in sight
