This is a collection of my favorite, and in my opinion, best Haiku that I have written. I consider these my favorite and my best Haiku because they evoke the feelings and emotions that I enjoy. Some are happy, some are funny, and maybe there is even one that is a bit somber. These haiku represent a time or a place that is special to me for a reason and reading them takes me back to that time and place and reminds me that they will not be forgotten.

Haiku is a contemplative poetry that is full of references to color, nature, seasons, and emotion. Haiku is usually representative of a moment in time, describing an emotion, sensation, or scene. It can be compared to a photo of some specific moment. While the haiku may mean one thing to the author, it may inspire specific, personal memories for the reader. That is what I intend for the readers of my haiku collection. So, enjoy!

Spring air
stop and smell
the audit

sidewalk
the summer storm
does not wait for me

senior prom
I fall in love
for the last time

swimming pool
my nephew says
I went pee
