Haiku To Edit 1

morning dew
endless rows of soybeans
weary legs

Cantaloupe
Sprinkled with salt
Tennessee…

muddy creek
four wheels turning
hang on tight

biscuits piled high
no one is eating
she is not here

cool rain
squishy mud
belly slides down the lane

snowy morning
the stairs creak
farmhouse Christmas

green tomatoes
in the window sill
ripening red

whispering voice
I love you—
in the dark

Take out Pizza
Winter Storm
Cold Again

rhythm of the swing
feet off floor
heads lean together

summer day
beach side
“I do”

home alone
silence
a smile spreads across my face

hear her call
scoop her up
we greet the sun

frozen fingers
warm hugs
chili on the stove

broken heart
he says “I Love You”
with his fists

dandelions blowing
the big blue sky
summer days

big comfy couch
cold wind sneaks
through the window

beach front hotel
waves washing against the shore
sea salt

White sun dresses
Hanging paper bells
My red-haired cousin

a hand print
face pressed to glass—
they aren’t open

Snow Storm
Long Drive
Baby Cries
