Haunted

haiku by
Rachael Wiley

Much like when I paint I get my inspiration for my haiku from my senses. When I read my haiku back to myself whether it is tomorrow or ten years from now I want them to bring back that emotion or that sense that I experienced when I wrote them. Thanks to Dr. Randy Brooks I have been introduced to a whole new form of art.

horror movie
with him
covering up

bone chilling
dog whimpering
all night

raining sideways
faint sirens
in the wind

haunted house
he follows
screaming like a girl

child’s artwork
she finds
after his death

puking pumpkins
rotting corps
What? no trick-or-treaters
