hug the curves of

I certainly can't wear
on Sundays

her piano in my house
the keys worn by
her hands

grandmother's
record player
always skipping

another year goes by
without her by my side
grandmother's tombstone fades

old tin watering can
sunflower spout long gone
passed down from grandma

Double Header Again!

broken heart
mixed feelings
burning the letter

how can I resist
your first attempt?
burnt cookies

date night
red wine
aged to perfection

years in the cellar
dust on the bottle
sophisticated red wine

unwanted buzz
from the guitar strings

a tree house
fits where the lightening split
the old oak tree

memories
laughing

the playoffs are here
I can't change my socks
feet stink for days

every time I play
every golf ball I hit
my one and only lucky hat

my 100th swing
I finally found
my sweet spot

my knees are weak
my back aches
one more race
