Selected Haiku

by
Shauna Mays

I never thought I was creative enough to write a poem. After reading and writing my own haiku I have a new understanding and meaning of being creative. It doesn't take a lot of words to express your thought.

In this collection I hope you enjoy some of my personal favorites
from my haiku experience.

Enjoy!

sittting beside the pool
the splashing water sound
children's laughter in the air

laundrymat
sharing laughs
admiring his smile

gazing out the window, teary eyes swell

sitting on grandma's lap
her combing my hair
sharing memories and laughter

grandma's kitchen
pots rattling on stove
savory smells
