Selected Haiku

The small moments matter more now, after taking this class. Now I stop and look at all of the wonderful things that happen in life. Stop and smell the wonderful things life has to offer.

black rolling clouds
leaves cupped for rain
first the smell

heart pounding
cool evening
the touch of his hand

pairs of footprints
left on the sand
swept away

crashes of thunder
huge rain drops
the dog jumps in bed

fluffy white cotton
fills the sky
my face is warm

the day nearly over
eyes closing
trip to the hospital

     quiet still
     of the morning
     I hear myself

wet shoes
stuck
cut wet grass

     seven deers
     scatter

     white cotton jumping

into the trees
vanished
from my sight

     fluffy clouds
     overhead
     will it rain?

time goes quickly
almost done
disappeared
