Spring. Life. Miracle. Paradox

I have a strange feeling
Happiness-and inspiration
In me is overtaking

The roughness of winter
Is now spring’s Beauty

Seasons have changed
Life has sprung forth
From the barren

Taking in the Earth’s beauty
I’m in awe

The seasons of life
Seasons of the earth
Are in parallel

What was bad
Has turned into good

Just a month ago
Snow covered land
Earth was dead

But now the Earth
Is green, flowers bloom

Things are not
Always
As they seem

Just when hope is lost
Our lives turn around

At Fairview Park
A baby girl cries
Mom comforts her

Just as the rain
Nurtures the earth

Rain beats the ground
The sun shines
Flowers spring from rain

Life’s pain will
Bring forth growth

To every ending
There is a beginning

Just as a mother
Has labors pains
During her pregnancy

Then a joyous bundle
Of life is birthed

A ladybug beside me
I wish
As I pick her up

Staring at the Earth’s beauty
I am amazed

I look up to
The sunny sky
Thinking deeply

I feel such a deep joy
I have a brighter day

I never thought
I would ever see it
Through the pain

My life and my season
Has changed too

In complete solitude
I smell the air
Tickled with flowers

Jasmine Sullivan’s melodies
Play in my ear

I feel the wind
In my face
Freedom

My past
Has made flowers

I am at peace
The ground beneath me
I am on cloud nine

Am I flying?
Like a bird so free?

The circle of
Life
Keeps spinning

Like the pieces
To a puzzle

We must learn
To fit them
Together

Everyday a new sun
A new chance

Life and beauty
Around me
My eyes are open

The rain is gone
I have my vision again

Birds fly
Babies cry
It rains

Roses blooming
In front of us

What is this feeling
That’s gotten me
Joy

Spring is here
My new life’s begun!!!!

Walking home
Listening to Louis Armstrong
The world turns

And I think to myself . . .
Life is a miracle
