After the Rain Singin' in the rain, ju— CB flash flood . . . JC coming in from the rain— AB shoes laid out HZ spring storms— KM in the bathtub EC • elephants in the river CD two trunks KA we pack up JR excited chatter SEK Splat! EED she gives me RMB • as the moon appears AL hestitantly—we set our bags TO roaches everywhere RM tip-toeing past shards CB plowing deeper JC coming in from the heat AB • his wide arms JC I soak in the smell CB drips on the page RM sixth grade diary TO senior prom AL dried flowers RMB • two years later EED Cross necklace SEK so much has changed JR staring . . . KA “three bucks CD I leave the store EC • the old music box KM I hate Indian givers HZ finally walking out AB He said “get lost.” JC shaking the limb CB never RM • • •
