she watches
the snow from her window
it slowly falls

dog streams past
the newly constructed fort
the snowball fight

Frost
Jack
let it snow

steady stream
trying to aim
drunken water gun fights

a creaky board
gives away
my every move

engine light on
dash has a crack
my first car

she plays
her piano
for everyone to hear

upstairs neighbors
seem to STOMP
with every step

sizzling in the summer air
bacon
still breathing

cross-legged on the bed
r e a d  i   n     g
legs fall asleep

from dusk till dawn
she sits on the rock
thinking

dead flowers pressed
between the pages
a fairytale

free falling
weight less
parachute whips open

oiling the trumpet valves
a chromatic scale
with vibrato

newly weds
driving away
out of focus

kissing the wine bottle
before kissing her boy
lips stick

girl’s tiny ring
snagged
in her lace white dress

hostess
drawing hearts
on the seating chart

puppy dog eyes
make me weak inside
I always give in

hair, nails, toes
not in
the budget

broken bannister
leads up to her room
dust blankets each step

windy beach day
makes for
a great hot tub night

snake tangled
into a knot
her new tattoo
