Journey

by
Andrew Cliatt

This collection contains all of my favorite haiku. Some good, some bad, but all of them are part of my haiku journey through this semester.

ashes
ashes
we all line up

fuzzy socks
squishy wet
squish

lights out.
the ceiling becomes
a map of the universe

staring up at the stars
lying in the wet grass
I reach for her hand

cross-legged on the bed
r   e   a   d   i   n   g
legs fall asleep

my phone sits beside me
dead
a black mirror

the cracks in the wall
climbing
spreading

waking up to sunshine
in my face
deciding to be happy

big muffins
straight from the oven
little bites

a star hangs on the wall
a journey
he will never take
