angels
with no halos
in the snow

open the door
wait for the waggy tail
that never comes

snowball thrown
back into snow
my dog faceplants

open the door and smell
onions
roommate’s soup

in a fishbowl
everyone watching
new relationship

in front 
of his friends
he shows me off

cold waves
just happy
to have my feet in

competing
to see who can jump
the highest wave

turnt and burnt
we roam the beach
for the last time

small talk
over a pool table
trying to keep up

drinking away
away my sins
on Good Friday

black stilettos
come off
barefoot ballroom

black tie affair
for a blackout
night
