deep snow
uphill I shovel
again, and again, and again

children playing
in freshly fallen snow
no track of time

dyeing eggs
the smell of vinegar
in grandma’s kitchen

first sun
on the golf course
alone

early morning,
sprinklers softly spray
his golf ball

dew covered green
reveals the worms
paths

voting day
behind the curtains
stinky feet

Sunday afternoon
daddy helps her find
plastic eggs

sunny morning
almost out of bed
still wearing last night’s clothes
