BEST OF MY HAIKU

by
James Osmun

I'm not really a haiku poet. I do love writing poetry, but over the years my style of poetry has grown to include many words, and no particular rules. I have, however, done my best to compact all of the broad images in my head into the three little lines that make up each haiku. I hope you enjoy . . .

peaceful bed
final sunset
the rain passes

staring at the sun
for only a moment
now I take it with me

lying pies!
the pumpkin
tastes terrible

frozen assassins
my grip on the wheel
tightens

trying to fit in
her beautiful bangs
hide her blue eyes
