Inbetween Time
A Haiku Collection

by
Deirdre Fields

Deirdre has a unique ability to capture a moment in its own time, leaving it for the reader to enjoy in the same way that she experienced it. Most of our everyday happenings in life may not seem like haiku, but Deirdre is able to capture these moments and express them to anyone.

I think my favorite haiku by Deirdre is:

plucking leaves
like harp strings
rain

Her voice and choice of words bring out beautiful moments for readers to share. I hope she will continue with haiku writing in the future.

another absence

grey pavement
a dirt covered glacier
marks the walk

even the library
silences the teachers

open books
no words insight,
another day
