Kukai 7 - Haiku & Senryu
Roundtable Haiku • Fall 2006
another log |
young love |
with a full stomach |
a gift from his father; |
car ride... |
praying together |
hum of the street light |
her tears fell |
bought some bread |
duct-taped together |
worn cotton |
treetops |
no heat to be found |
crack! |
no less powerful |
a table of food |
sharp cutlery— |
World of Warcraft |
the tree sparkles |
the icicles grow |
advanced hidden levels |
sunlight and dust |
football blaring |
autumn ends |
early winter |
through the dirty windshield |
faded red hat |
old beggar takes |
a night with friends |
winter night— |
Mother’s blue threadbare scarf |
after everyone is gone |
cops on the side |
antique auction— |
sister eats |
the third summer since— |
moonlight sparkles |
cold snow in my boot; |
icy block |
getting thinner |
pi x radius squared— |
giants of the earth |
one a.m. landing— |
apple pie sits |
so much food; |
flipping radio stations |
dining at the table |
cup of coffee |
apple |
palm trees ocean breeze |
dad lost |
the wheelchair |
soft blue blanket |
first snow flurries— |
a picture |
wasps buzz round |
listening |
costumes |
Mr. Jack-O-Lantern’s |
a white Christmas |
another lesson: |
flakes rush down |
the mantis prays |
vespers |
shivering and laughing |
the mirror |
depression |
my favorite shoes |
dancing a jig; |
on the porch |
faded leather |
no turkey |
under the frozen ancient oak |
companions on the carpet; |
on the plate |
Roses are red |
Christmas morning— |
day after Thanksgiving |
ice falls |
completely alone |
the cold stings |
spaghetti— |
my old couch... |
turkey on the table |
