1

honey stick swirl
wraps in my mug
burnt tongue

2

tried to leave
the car seatbelt
still on

3

hearts harmonize to one
little light in the corner
sun sets, forget the day

4

melted snow
racing down the storm drain
smell of a neighbor's grill

5

next door neighbors
dressed up nice again
frowns on faces

6

freckles cover her skin.
becoming the stars
in the sky

7

rhythmic beeping
breath by breath
she stays alive

8

ice air sweeps in
hand clutches
a scruffy blanket

9

soft music
coaxes her ear
an ocean of calm

10

a dry layer cake
Happy 21st!
coated in candle wax

11

my museum
a home of
hopeful women

12

a singular seashell
washes up on shore
a beacon

13

daughter drives north
we drive south
heartbeats

14

eye to a speckled floor
swimming with mice
skritskritskrit

15

ghost-white skin
final kiss on his forehead
goodbye, dear.
