Spring 2025 English Haiku

Frost on my window—
memories of Kyoto
warm my frozen hands.

a lone streetlight
even the wind
passes without a name

moonlit rooftops
where my shadow
walks without me

I stepped outside
no plans, no reason—
just morning light

pouring the tea
the steam rises
before I think

city crosswalk—
my feet already
chose the direction

empty elevator
somehow
feels like me

summer path—
the dog runs ahead
like he knows the way

evening light—
he shifts his reel
I copy without asking

kite in the sky—
pulled by the wind
and some part of me

no one talks
he passes me a snack
like always

window open
the wind says go
so I go
