ABOUT THE AUTHORGeorge Swede was born in Riga, Latvia in 1940 and has lived in Toronto, Canada since 1967. Over thirty collections of his haiku have been published. His haiku and senryu have routinely been featured in haiku magazines around the world, and he has received numerous awards for his poetry. Brooks Books published a clothbound edition of his selected haiku, Almost Unseen.

As a scholar and editor of haiku in English, Swede has been responsible for several important collections including: George Swede, editor.
