Inspirations: A Collection of Haiku
by

Jennifer Rule

Everything that surrounds us offers inspiration to create wonderful literary works of art. Each haiku in this collection was inspired by special events or places in Jennifer's life. Her love for her family and nature is reflected in her work as they are what inspire her. Take the time to fully enjoy these haiku. You might find yourself in your own special memory. —Diane Rule

the yellowing pages
of Grandma's album
I find myself-in my mom

neighbors unite
children run and hide
water balloon fight

backyard barbeque
teasing my hungry belly
from miles away

my only friend
listens closely
'til he melts away

cool ocean water
splashing onto the boat
mixing with the rain

blazing campfire
wehuddleclose
. . . a spark

The Holy Bible
her writing, so delicate
I met my Grandma

peaceful early morning
reflection off the water
he slowly baites my hook

white sandy beaches
picturesque sunset
the artist puts down
his brush
