John J. Polozzolo
I began reading and writing haiku about 30 years ago. My first
published pieces appeared in the 70's with early encouragement
from editors Lorraine Harr, Dr. Eric Amann, and Robert Spiess.
I received a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in
Education. I'm a former English teacher, potter, public speaker,
and for the past 15 years, president and director of an educational
training company specializing in preparing adult candidates for
various entrance examinations.
I live in the shining beauty of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire
with my wife, Susan. I have a son, Mark. Painting, pottery, and
poetry have been lifelong passions, and my love of the brush
and raku brought me to haiga.
I've had shows of my abstract art in a number of galleries.
I've won a few haiku awards. This collection of haiga is my first
... it is dedicated to my whole family ... and is entitled,
With love, Zolo.
