Haiku
by
Alexia Finch
My life has been enriched by reading and writing haiku because it has brought me peace and a sense of expressing my thoughts other than just writing in a journal or diary. |
eyes wide
presents fill the tree
warm home |
|
|
hours go by
one sentence done
it’s midnight |
check my phone
text from him
blushing smile |
|
|
singing out loud
the girl dances
in the rain
|
in the school bathroom
she hides who
she used to be |
|
|
hospital room
baby cries
in the distance |
brisk cold air
legs red
long road ahead |
|
|
still water
something tugs
on the pole |
