Imagine That

by
Erica Mackling

I have enjoyed reading, writing, and analyzing haiku. This gave me the chance to get back in touch with my creativity, which I enjoy very much. I used to take time to be creative, but it seems as life has become so busy I don’t take much time for it anymore. I plan to continue writing haiku, as I found this very relaxing. I also found that haiku can be enjoyed by anyone if they give it a chance. My father also enjoyed this class, so much that we did a rengay together. This was an unforgettable experience we will always remember.

walking with difficulty
he still loves
her every move

white sand & crashing waves
her grandmother
shapes her into a mermaid

cat eyes
staring
you lose

sun on her face
oh how she wishes
they were headed South
