Selected Haiku

by
Josh Parmenter

During the autumn of 2007, Josh Parmenter attended a Global Haiku Traditions class at Millikin University taught by Dr. Randy Brooks. During this time a collection of haiku was wrote by Josh exploring past and present experiences with nature and people. This book contains the best haiku he created during that time. Enjoy!

snowy night
friends talk and talk
in a running truck

blue painted sky
the old man fills
his bird feeder

afternoon wind
pushes snow
against the shed

winter paws
outside
my window

winter
snow flakes
collect on a rabbit’s back

rusted tractor
tires flat
the wind picking up
