Selected Haiku
by

Sean Keller

Well . . . I have to be honest. When I signed up for Dr. Brooks' Writing Roundtable, I had NO idea it was a class about haiku! I had never even written a haiku before. But I figured, "What the hell. I may as well learn something new." And I think that is my philosophy. Take chances. Make mistakes. LEARN.

This class provided an excellent opportunity to learn something new and I took it. I'm very glad I did. The following haiku are an extension of myself as I've come to grow after just one semester in college. Self-discovery.

"Always leave room for the unexpected in yourself."

—Steve Martin
