My Favorite People

by
Katelyn Wendt

This collection contains some of my favorite haiku that I have written because each one highlights a person or a memory that I cherish deeply. For me, these haiku evoke a wide range of emotions. Most make me smile, a couple threaten tears, and many bring me a sense of nostalgia or peace. Ultimately, however, the haiku in this collection remind me to always be grateful that I have “my favorite people” in my life.

These haiku serve as a tribute to the people in my life that I love the most: friends, family, and friends who have become family. Though they were inspired by memories and people from my life, my hope is that readers will be able to relate to them in their own way.
