Book of My Life

by
Terrion White

This collection is curated with a thoughtful selection of pieces that speak directly to the themes of transition and self-discovery. My selection showed experiences and insights that speak to my current life. Since my grandparents recently passed away I wanted to include them in some way reflection on the impact they left on me, because they played a huge role in my life. Also I reflect a lot about the summer time because this is the best summer I had in a long time, after my rough year with a lot of ups and downs i needed this the most.

hands joined at sunset
silent strength in unity
family’s quiet bond

lemonade stand
sticky hands
sweet summer moments

nose to ground
he leads
adventure on leash

cookies fresh and warm
comfort in every bite
grandma loves sweet treats

new school
strangers become
new friends

dribble, crossover
shoes squeaking
swish

Grandfather's old cane
in my hand, it feels alive
echoes of the past
